John Terry is leaving Chelsea at the end of the season
John Terry has forever etched his place in the hearts of Chelsea supporters, who want their ‘Captain, Leader, Legend’ to be awarded one of the highest honours of recognition for his 22 years of service to the club.
Three weeks after the centre-back announced that he will leave when his contract expires at the end of the season, Blues fans have started a petition to have the East Stand renamed the John Terry Stand at Stamford Bridge.
A £500m rebuild of the club’s ground has recently been approved, with the capacity of the ground set to increase to 60,000, and fans are coming together in the hope Terry will be given a ‘significant token of our gratitude’ in being honoured at the stadium.
